Van der Fluit Bluffs Bowker

In an effort to find a nice hand to report on, we stumbled upon $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha bracelet winner Vincent van der Fluit. After winning $265,211 just two weeks ago Van der Fluit added another $25,331 to his list of results coming in 11th in the $1,000 No Limit Hold'em tournament that is currently being played out on the main stage in the Amazon Room.

Van der Fluit was kind enough to tell us a hand he just played against Kyle Bowker, and the action went as following. The Dutchman raised fromt he cutoff with {2-} {2-} {3-} {x-} {x-} and got called by Bowker who was in the big blind.

Bowker drew two cards and Van der Fluit took three.

"I caught a {5-} and he bet. I called, he stood pat and I drew two cards," Van der Fluit said as they went to the final drawing round.

Bowker bet 300 and Van der Fluit called once again after which he drew one card and his opponent stood pat again.

Bowker now checked to Van der Fluit who had caught a {6-} on the second draw and now filled up his straight with a {4-} on the final draw. Van der Fluit didn't give up his hand as he bet and Bowker opted to fold.
