Ivey Here to Win

Limit Hold'em

Phil Ivey was just eliminated from Event: 32 $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. and casually left the final table arena and took his seat here in Event 35.

It didn't take long for him to get involved in a pot, finding him raising it up in a pot preflop from early position. The table folded around to the small blind who three-bet. Ivey called and both players were allowed to see the flop.

The flop came {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}{7-Clubs}, and it was here that the small blind continued with a bet and Ivey raised. The small blind made the call.

The {k-Clubs} on the turn allowed for the small blind to move all in. Ivey threw out the call and cards were tabled.

Ivey: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Small Blind: {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Ivey held the advantage with a full-house, sevens over fours while his opponent possessed two-pair, kings and fours. If Ivey could avoid a king on the river he would win a nice pot and deliver a knock-out. Indeed a {9-} did fall and Ivey scooped the chips.
