Kornuth Catches a Double

A short while ago we overheard Adam Kornuth saying, "The best thing about this game is that this (pointing at his stack) can turn into that (pointing at David Benyamine's stack) in twenty minutes."

"Probably less!" replied the Frenchman.

Both were not far from the truth as 25 minutes later we witnessed Kornuth doubling up through Benyamine.

Benyamine opened to 4,800 from the button and called when Kornuth three-bet to 16,000 from the small blind. The flop fell {2-Spades}{6-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and Kornuth moved all in for just under the value of the pot (33k), and was called by Benyamine.

Kornuth: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Benyamine: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{10-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Kortnuth gave a little fist pump.
