Margets Getting It In

Leo Margets is one of the most recognisable female poker players on the European circuit. The diminutive Spaniard has won over $700,000 in a career spanning 4-years. She first came to prominence on the world scene after finishing in 27th place in the 2009 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event, proving she has once found the right combination of skill and luck to get through a very deep field. She took home $352,832 for the performance that kick-started her career. Here is Margets getting it all-in during one of her first hands.

We caught the action on a flop of {10-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {6-Hearts} and three players in the pot. The big blind had bet 150, Margets had raised to 550 a few seats over and her next door neighbour had also made the call. We were waiting for the decision of the big blind and he called. The turn card was the {4-Diamonds} and the big blind checked to Margets who moved all-in for 2,350. The player to her direct left really wanted to call, but in the end mucked his hand, as did the big blind, and Margets scooped the pot.
