Nguyen Doubles In Dramatic Fashion

We found the aftermath of a hand that caused some commotion here in the Amazon Room. Soi Nguyen was all in and at risk before the flop and was called by another player. Terrence Chan opted to fold pocket queens for his tournament life in this situation. After the hands were turned over and Chan saw that he was ahead of Nguyen's {A-Clubs}{K-Spades} and the other player's {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}, he walked away from the table.

The flop came {K-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} and Nguyen jumped into the lead.

"It's okay bro," called Nguyen to Chan. "You made the right decision."

Before the words could even finish leaving Nguyen's lips, the {Q-Spades} peeled off on the river and the entire table let out collective gasps and shrieks that carried through the Amazon Room. Chan, who was on the other side of the tournament at this point, immediately knew what this meant. The {4-Diamonds} completed the board and Nguyen was able to enjoy his double up thanks to his flopped top two pair.
