Main Event Champ Check-In

Last time we took a look at 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event champion Joe Cada's chip stack it was hurting. However, in the meantime it seems that Cada was able to find a double up.

We found him as the second player to a call a raise to 1,200 while he was in the big blind. The flop came {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and Cada checked. The original raiser fired out 2,500 and the other player in the hand made it 6,500 to go. Cada looked at his cards several times before mucking the hand.

While he may not have won this pot, he is now sitting on a solid stack of 11,500.

On the other side of the Brasilia room, we found 2007 WSOP Main Event champion Jerry Yang looking down at a board of {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{9-Spades}. Yang put out a check-raise to 5,000 after his opponent bet 1,500.

His opponent replied by announcing that he was all in and Yang heaved a large sigh. Yang stacked his chips and pushed them into the middle. He tabled {Q-Spades}{10-Spades} and stared at his opponent, waiting for his opponent to show his cards.

His opponent flipped up{K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} and was ahead. The board finished with the {4-Hearts} and the {8-Hearts} and just like that Yang was sent packing.
