Grag Raymer played out a big pre draw pot with Bryan Devonshire a short while ago and managed to force him off his hand. Not so the second time they clashed, and it cost him tournament life.

There was an early position raise to 2,300 before Devonshire three-bet to 6,500, and Raymer moved all in. The original raiser folded but Devonshire called and stood pat immediately.

Raymer drew one and then watched Devonshire open {9-} {8-} {5-} {4-} {3-} .

"I have that beat right now," said Raymer as he opened {7-} {8-} {4-} {3-} . He needed to avoid a pair or any card higher than a nine. He opened {j-Spades} though.
