Four Remain; Phillips Leads
Welcome back to what is sure to be the final day of Event 29: $1,000 Seniors No-Limit Hold'em Championship. After a long day of play yesterday that ended a bit after midnight, the final four players bagged and tagged their chips to return today and play for the gold.
Up for grabs is over $600,000 in first-place prize money and the coveted World Series of Poker gold bracelet. Leading the way is Dennis Phillips with over 43% of the chips in play. He's followed by Bob Phelps, two-time WSOP bracelet winner Hoyt Corkins and then Allyn Jaffrey Shulman, in that order.
Place | Player | Prize |
---|---|---|
1 | Dennis Phillips | 5,335,000 |
2 | Bob Phelps | 3,475,000 |
3 | Hoyt Corkins | 1,960,000 |
4 | Allyn Jaffrey Shulman | 1,620,000 |
Play is scheduled to kick off at noon and it doesn't seem like things will take too long as there are roughly 78 big blinds in play total. Stay tuned to PokerNews for all the ongoing coverage.
