Gathy's Bid for Number Two Comes Up Short

Michael Gathy
Michael Gathy

Stud 8:

Last night, Michael Gathy was busy capturing his first World Series of Bracelet in Event 21: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em for $440,829, but that didn't stop him from entering today's event. Unfortunately, he must have used up all of his luck last night as he was recently eliminated.

We didn't catch the entire hand, but we do know Gathy was sent packing after his opponent held {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for trips.

Livingston Busts Lindgren

Razz:

We happened upon Erick Lindgren's table during the Razz round and saw he was sitting with just a single blue T500 chip. A couple of bring-ins saw him down to 200 when he committed it showing an {A-}, which was isolated by Alex Livingston and his {5-}.

Livingston: {4-}{3-} / {5-}{6-}{10-}{8-} / {7-}
Lindgren: {4-}{J-} / {A-}{Q-}{8-}{A-} / (x)

Lingren was up out of his seat when he paired on sixth and didn't bother to stick around and see the meaningless card on seventh street.
