Rep Porter Eliminated in 14th Place ($10,669)

Rep Porter
Rep Porter

Stud:

Rep Porter completed with the {J-Diamonds} only to have David Chiu raise with the {Q-Diamonds}. Poter, who was fairly short, contemplated for about thirty second before making the call. Chiu proceeded to bet the turn, which Porter called before taking the lead and betting his last 23,000 on fifth. Chiu made the call and the cards were turned up:

Porter: {J-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} / {J-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades} / {Q-Clubs}
Chiu: {Q-Hearts}{2-Spades} / {Q-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} / {Q-Spades}

Porter made two pair and got his money in good, but Chiu spiked a deuce on sixth to snatch the lead right back. Chiu showed the {Q-Spades} right away on seventh, which means Porter was drawing dead. Nonetheless, he looked at his last card and then tossed the {Q-Clubs} onto Chiu's pile, giving him bogus quads.
