Defending Champ Stein Stays Alive

Action folded to Hans Winzeler on the button and he raised to 800. Defending champion Sam Stein reraised from the small blind to 2,600 and Winzeler flat-called.

The flop came down {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{5-Spades} and Stein checked. Winzeler bet 2,000 and Stein made the call.

The turn was the {6-Hearts} and Stein potted it for 9,600 and was all in. Winzeler quickly called and turned over the {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs} for two pair, aces and sixes, with a spade draw. Stein held the same two pair with the {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}.

The river landed with the {7-Hearts} and the two players chopped up the pot playing two pair, aces and sixes.
