Ivey Gets Some Back

It's not over yet! Phil Ivey just won two pots bringing him back up to 690,000 chips. On the first one he raised from the small blind, and Scotty Nguyen defended his big blind. The flop came down {A-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, and Nguyen called Ivey's bet. On the turn, the {8-Clubs}, the same process was repeated and the river was the {3-Hearts}. Ivey threw out another bet and this time Nguyen opted to fold.

A couple of hands later, Ivey raised from the button and Cassidy defended his big blind. On a {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{8-Spades} the hand got checked all the way to the river where Ivey called a bet from his opponent. Cassidy showed {J-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{X-}{x-} and mucked when Ivey turned over {K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}. Two crucial pots for Ivey who is still in it!
