And Ivey Gets Them Back

In two hands Phil Ivey just got some chips back as he's now back up to 1.36 million. From the small blind Ivey raised it up and Scotty Nguyen defended his big blind. The flop came down {A-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Ivey bet, Nguyen called.

The turn, the {10-Diamonds}, got checked by both players and the river was the {J-Spades}. Ivey put in another bet and Nguyen followed with the call. Ivey tabled {5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and raked in this pot.

The very next hand Ivey raised it up from the button and Meng La called from the big blind. The flop came down {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and La check-raised Ivey who followed with the call.

On the turn and river, the {5-Diamonds} and {6-Spades}, Ivey check-called 50,000 chip bets and La mucked when he got shown {A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{7-Spades}. Ivey is back up there while La is now really short once again.
