Meng La Stays in There

Meng La
Meng La

Meng La is experiencing some serious swings as he was just almost knocked out but found a way to stay in the game. First La raised from the button and Ivey called from the big blind.

The flop came down {J-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Ivey lead out. La called and the turn was the {3-Diamonds}. La called another bet and the river brought out the {5-Diamonds}. This time La folded when Ivey threw ou another 50,000 and he was left with just 49,000 chips.

On the very next hand La was all in. He put his final chips at risk from the under the gun position and both Nguyen and Ivey called. On a {a-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}{8-Clubs}{10-Hearts} board the hand got checked down and Ivey showed {4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{Jc]{9-Hearts} for the low. La tabled {J-Hearts}{9-Spades}{A-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for the high and they chopped the pot.

On the third hand La got his 74,000 chips into the pot and was up against Ivey in search for a double up.

Ivey showed {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and he lost against {a-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds} when the board ran out {A-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades}{8-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}. We are still four handed while La remains with the short stack.
