Polychronopoulos' Queens Hold Up

Mickey Petersen started off the action with a raise to 800 after which Athanasios Polychronopoulos three-bet him to 2,500. The player in the big blind opted to make it 6,200 and Petersen laid it down.

Polychronopoulos, who finished fourth in the Master Classics of Poker Main Event in Amsterdam last November, moved all in and after some tanking his opponent called.

"You're in good shape," Petersen said who claimed to have mucked his {A-}{Q-}. The board ran out {2-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{J-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{6-Clubs} giving the Greek American a double up.
