Chan Takes Rare Loss

Terrence Chan is no longer leading the field at the moment, but he still right up there. We recently watched Quite a large pot go in the opposite direction of Chan, something we are not too accustomed to seeing tonight.

The hand started when Jesse Martin opened the pot from under the gun. A middle-position Samuel Golbuff then three-bet, before Chan made it another bet on Golbuff's direct left. Both players called Chan's raise and a flop was dealt.

Flop: {2-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{a-Spades}

The play was checked to Chan on the flop and he fired out a bet. Martin folded his hand and Golbuff put in the check-raise. Chan called and a {7-Clubs} was dealt on the turn. Golbuff bet and Chan called, the same as what occurred on the {3-Spades} river. When Golbuff tabled his {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}, it was enough to see Chan's cards into the muck as Golbuff now finds himself near the top of the chip counts.
