Selbst Doubles Up Popatia

Vanessa Selbst limped into the pot from late position, John Juanda completed from the small blind before Azim Popatia raised to 40,000 from the big blind. Selbst made the call, Juanda folded and we were heads-up heading to the flop.

Flop: {K-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {2-Spades}

"I am all-in," said Popatia.

"How much is it? This really sucks…I was hoping to hit a pair but now I have something else…I wasn't prepared for this option…this really sucks," said Selbst before making the call.

Popatia{A-Spades} {2-Clubs}
Selbst{Q-Clubs} {J-Diamonds}

So Popatia had bottom pair and Selbst had an open-ended straight draw, backdoor flush draw and two over cards. So in actuality Selbst was only a 48% dog against the bottom pair.

Turn: {4-Spades}

Selbst chances dropped to 30%

River: {5-Clubs}

Selbst chances drop to zero and now she has to endure a poker story from Popatia, something we are sure she is not going to enjoy.
