Candida Ross-Powers Ain't No Doormat

With seven WSOP cashes to his name and $269,911 in live tournament earnings, Dylan Wilkerson has probably seen it all, but that has not stopped him leaving the tournament with steam pouring out of his ears.

Wilkerson raised to 6,000 in the hijack seat and when the action folded around to Candida Ross-Powers in the small blind she moved all-in for over 100,000. The stunned big blind folded and Wilkerson made the call.

Ross-Powers{6-Spades} {6-Clubs}
Wilkerson{Q-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs}

So a huge mis-step by Ross-Powers, but as we all know only too well, the Poker Gods can still smite those down who have done nothing wrong.

Flop: {J-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds}

Ross-Powers nails a set on the flop and Wilkerson is fuming. The turn {A-Spades} and river {5-Clubs} confirmed the win for Ross-Powers and Wilkerson was out. As Ross-Powers was rebuilding her stack we asked her quietly for her name.

"I am Candida Ross-Powers," she replied.

"She is Candy Flop-Powers," shouted one of her opponents.

"That lady said that you do not win tournaments by being a doormat," said the same opponent.

Well if you want to walk all over Ross-Powers you have to get through 280,000 worth of chips first.
