Maria Ho Removes Phil Ivey From The Equation
The 2011 World Series of Poker missed the great man Phil Ivey, so it is good to see him back in action in 2012. Unfortunately, Phil Ivey fans will have to wait for another event to see some Ivey action, after he was eliminated at the soft and tender hands of Maria Ho.
Ho raised to 450 in the hijack seat, Ivey jammed for 1,600 in the small blind and Ho made the call.

So Ivey was hoping to fade a jack, and the flop of did just that. The on the turn added any eight to Maria Ho's outs and lo and behold the turned up on the river. Then a mini drama as the dealer mucked Maria Ho's hand! The players on the table told the dealer that Ho had hit a straight, and the two cards were retrieved from the muck.
Ivey is out and Ho now has 10,700.
