In the first open event at the 2012 WSOP there are 15 players left chasing the most coveted prize in poker. Among the favorites we see chip leader Jacob Bazeley who is being chased by Ryan Schmidt. These two young guys are miles ahead of the nearest competitors since there is over a 400,000 chip gap between these two and the rest.
Behind Schmidt and Bazeley it's still anyones game with JP Kelly, Vanessa Selbst and Andrew Badecker trying to win another WSOP bracelet. Brent Hanks has been in this situation before and he's looking to improve on his 4th place finish in last years $2,500 8-Game tournament. As you can see the field is packed with talent and we are looking to see a very interesting final day here at the Rio! For all you fans out there, make sure to drop by as we are using the beautiful final table stage, also known as The Mother Ship!
Event 2: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em
