Perelman Out

Rob Perelman recently took a beat that we discussed and has since been eliminated. First, he lost a flip with {A-}{K-} to David Peters' {8-}{8-} to get knocked down to about 8,000 in chips.

On his elimination hand, the small blind moved in with the {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Perelman called from the big blind with {K-}{7-}. Both players flopped a seven, but Perelman's kicker was the better of the two. Perelman's opponent also flopped a flush draw and hit it on the river to send Perelman to the rail.

Double for Shulman

We managed to catch up to Barry Shulman right when he was making a call of 4,500 from a player in early position. The player on the button then pushed out a stack of blue 500 chips and made it 13,000. The initial raiser in early position folded with the blinds, and action was on Shulman who moved all in for around 40,000 more. The button snap-called and cards were turned over.

Shulman: {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Button: {10-Clubs}{A-Hearts}

A {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} flop jumped out of the deck, allowing Shulman to maintain his lead. A {5-Hearts} on the turn and a{q-Diamonds} on the river sealed the deal and Shulman was granted a double up. Shulman not sits with well over 100,000 and seems to be in prime position for a great run here today.

Bolek Spikes a Double

From under the gun, Chris Bolek raised to 4,000. Action folded a couple of seats over to a player in middle position and he immediately announced a reraise once Sam Stein folded in front of him. The player then tossed out 14,000. Play folded back to Bolek and he paused for a few seconds. Bolek then moved all in for a little over 30,000 and his opponent snapped.

Bolek tabled the {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}, but was in bad shape against his opponent's {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}. The {8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop kept Bolek behind, but the {J-Hearts} on the turn propelled him to the lead. Bolek was able to fade his opponent's flush and higher set redraw when the {10-Diamonds} hit the river and doubled up.

Bolek's opponent was left with just about 3,000 in chips and eliminated shortly thereafter.

"That's how you win tournaments," joked Bolek's neighbor on his left.

Dalesandro Picks Off Bolek

Picking up the action on the {10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop, Chris Bolek checked to Dave Dalesandro. Dalesandro fired 4,400 and Bolek check-raised to 10,800. Dalesandro made the call.

The turn card was the {5-Hearts} and Bolek fired 13,400. Dalesandro stood tough and made the call to see the {4-Clubs} fall on the river. Bolek bet 23,200 and Dalesandro tanked. After a minute or two, Dalesandro finally called. Bolek let him know it was a good call and Dalesandro tabled the {J-Spades}{10-Spades}. Bolek mucked and Dalesandro won the pot.

Brutal Beat for Perelman

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

A player in early position opened for 4,000 and Rob Perelman three-bet to 8,600. A {k-}{3-}{4-} flop was exposed after the early-position player made the call. It was here on the flop that Perelman's opponent moved all in for 20,700. After a few moments of contemplation Perelman made the call and was in for a treat.

Perelman: {J-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Opponent: {Q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

Perelman had his opponent dead to a queen or running straight cards, and looked to be in great shape when the {3-} fell on the turn. A {Q-} on the river, though, shattered any dreams of taking the pot down and Perelman's opponent stole the hand.
