Zewin Strikes

Don Zewin
Don Zewin

We finally had a hand with some chips in the pot. It began when Phil Hellmuth brought it in with an {8-} and then called a completion from Don Zewin, who was showing {5-}. The latter proceeded to bet the turn and Hellmuth called. The "Poker Brat" then took the lead on fifth and bet, which Zewin called.

Hellmuth then check-called a bet on sixth before doing the same on seventh.

Zewin: (x-x) / {5-}{9-}{9-}{Q-} / (x) ({2-}{3-}{7-})
Hellmuth: (x-x) / {8-}{8-}{6-}{10-} / (x) ({2-}{4-}{6-})

Hellmuth rose from his chair and couldn't seem to believe his 10-8-6-4-2 was beat by Zewin's 9-7-5-3-2.
