Ali vs. Cronin

Patrick Cronin
Patrick Cronin

Patrick Cronin made an early-position raise to 20,000, and Ali Eslami came along with a call on the button.

Heads-up, the two men watched a {J-Spades} {4-Clubs} {6-Hearts} flop roll out. Cronin checked to let Eslami bet 21,000, then check-raised to 53,000. Eslami announced a pot reraise, and Cronin called all in for 131,000 total. He showed up {K-Spades} {J-Diamonds}, and Eslami had that beaten. His {A-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} was the dominating jack, and Cronin needed help in a hurry.

The {10-Clubs} turn provided none, but the river was the life saver. Cronin found the {K-Hearts} on fifth street to improve to kings up, and with it comes a double up over 300,000.
