An Orbit with Vanessa Selbst

Hand 1 - Seated in the cutoff she folded preflop. She picked up her iPhone and played a round of Scramble With Friends. She scored 1,004 in a second round match.
Hand 2 - Selbst limps for 200 along with four other players then the big blind moved all in for 900. All other players folded but Selbst called.

The board ran and Selbst flopped a straight and rivered a queen-high straight ending her opponent's day.
Hand 3 - She folded preflop and went back to her phone. She started a new game of Scramble With Friends.
Hand 4 - Selbst paused her game to fold preflop and watch some of the action. She made some small talk with her neighbor to her left.
Hand 5 - From Under the Gun she folded preflop and went back to her paused game of Scramble With Friends. She finished the round with a score of 1,115.
Hand 6 - From the big blind Selbst checked when one player and the small blind limped preflop. The flop came , the small blind checked, Selbst bet 300 and both opponents folded.
Hand 7 - The player on the button opened to 450, Selbst called from small blind and the big blind re-raised to 1,800. The button folded and Selbst thought for a minute and then said, "Okay, let's gamble," and tossed in the call.
The flop came , Selbst checked, the big blind moved all in and Selbst called.

Her opponent's straight draw hit on the turn when it fell and was drawing dead when the river came . Selbst busted from the tournament, packed up her things and left the Brasilia Room without even a sigh.
