Monnette Closing In

John Monnette brought it in with the {3-Spades}, and Tim Finne came along showing the {9-Clubs}.

Monnette: (x-x) / {3-Spades} {J-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} / (x)
Finne: (x-x) / {9-Clubs} {3-Hearts} {10-Hearts} {7-Clubs} / (x)

Both men checked on fourth street, and Monnette checked again on fifth. When Finne bet, though, he was quickly check-raised to 100,000 total. He called the extra bet, then called another bet on sixth street. Monnette bet seventh street dark, and now Finne needed some time to think. He spent the better part of three minutes scratching his head and furrowing his brow, but he eventually tucked them under and surrendered.

Monnette is now in possession of more than 75% of the chips in play.
