Acoba Eliminated

We didn't catch the hand that eliminated her, but we saw Marie-Lizette Acoba grabbing her things and heading to the rail. We caught up with her briefly, and she simply said "two crazy hands did me in." We did catch one of those hands that knocked her down quite a bit.

We caught up to this hand in the middle of the action with about 2,000 in the pot; Acoba was in the small blind, and Ray Pulford was in middle position.

With the board reading {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{10-Clubs} Acoba check raised Pulford's 800 chip bet to 2,200. Pulford called, and the turn came a {9-Clubs}.

Acoba checked, and Pulford shoved all in. Acoba had to call off her remaining stack to see the last card, and tanked a bit before finally folding.

“Show a bluff, it's good for the game,” a table mate asked.

Pulford obliged and showed the {Q-Spades}.

“I had an open ender and an Ace,” Acoba said. “I really thought I liked that turn.”

Pulford is above 20,000 now. Acoba dropped to under 6,000 with that hand, and was eliminated shortly after
