In a blind-versus-blind confrontation, Tommy Vinas raised to 38,000 from the small blind only to have Jason DeWitt reraise to 114,000. Vinas did not back down and put in another raise, which prompted DeWitt to call all in for around 160,000 more.

DeWitt had chose to make a stand with jack-nine, which looked like it might pay off after the flop came down {J-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} ; however, he needed to dodge the flush draw and overs of Vinas. Unfortunately for DeWitt, the {9-Diamonds} peeled off on the turn and gave Vinas the said flush. All hope was not lost, however, as DeWitt could still hit a nine or jack on the river to boat up and scoop the pot.
