Action folded to Fabio Sousa in middle position and he raised to 9,500. Last year's 24th-place finisher Ronnie Bardah reraised to 24,500 from the cutoff. Everyone folded back to Sousa and he tanked for a bit. Eventually, Sousa folded and Bardah won the pot.
On the next hand, action folded to Bardah in the hijack seat. He opened to 9,000. Matthew Kay reraised from the button to 25,000 and the blinds folded through to Bardah. He called to see the 
flop. Bardah checked and Kay fired 28,000. Bardah thought for a little bit, but then folded his hand.
