Doyle Chips Up Bit by Bit
Doyle Brunson raised to 600 from early position and was called by Camton Michaels in the big blind. The flop came and Michaels checked it over to Brunson who bet 900. Michaels folded and Brunson took the pot.
A couple hands later, Balaz Biri raised to 500 from middle position and Brunson called from the big blind. The action stalled there however as both players checked on every street of a board. Brunson flipped over his and his pair of rivered fours was good enough to win the pot.
It seems that Brunson had struggled with the decision of whether to play the Main Event this year, but he confirmed his entry into the tournament via his Twitter page last night when he tweeted, "Ok, I, officially am playing the ME. Do I feel good? No. Do I want to play? No. Am I playing my best? No. Am I gonna try my best? Damn right!!"
We're guessing the other players at the featured table are excited to have the opportunity to play with one of the all-time greats of the poker world.
