Rosskamm Doubles Through Gates

Garry Gates raised to 22,000 from early position and cleared the field all the way to Andrew Rosskamm in the big blind. Rosskamm chose to exercise his option with a three-bet to 87,000, which Gates saw fit to call. When the flop fell {J-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, RossKamm wasted little time in moving all in for 200,000 and Gates made the call.

Showdown
Rosskamm: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}
Gates: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}

Rosskamm was at risk, but he held the best hand; however, Gates could catch either a seven, queen, or ten to take the lead. The dealer burned and slowly turned the {2-Diamonds}, a blank as far as Gates was concerned. Again the dealer burned and put out the river . . . {5-Diamonds}.

Gates missed his draws to drop to 720,000 while Rosskamm doubled to nearly 600,000.
