Sticking De Knijff Into Hellmuth

Phil Hellmuth opened to 10,500 and Martin De Knijff made the call in position to see a {4-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop. Both players checked to the {9-Clubs} where Hellmuth checked again before calling a small 8,000 bet from his opponent. The river was the {6-Clubs} and Hellmuth checked a third time, De Knijff fired 20,500 which represented about a third of Hellmuth's remaining stack and he folded.

Soon after, they played another pot with De Knijff raising preflop and Hellmuth defending in the big blind. Both players checked the {9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop before Hellmuth led out on the {5-Hearts} turn for 12,500. De Knijff quickly responded by moving all in and Hellmuth was forced to fold again.

Hellmuth finally won one round against his nemesis though, squeezing all in from small blind after De Knijff had raised with Charalampos Tsaoussis calling. De Knijff got out of the way but Tsaoussis made the call with {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} - only to find Hellmuth with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}. The board came {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and Hellmuth survived for a little longer.
