Philachack and Anter checked to Borzio who shoved for 1,080,000 and both Philachack and Anter called, making it heads-up to the sidepot on the turn of the , where Philachack checked dark. Anter shoved, sending Philachack deep into the tank before he open-folded .

Anter:
Anter had managed to pair his nine, while Borzio was left with just six outs to keep himself alive in this tournament. It wasn't to be - the river was the - and with four players left, Anter now holds almost nine million in chips.
Hasan Anter is now in command at this final table, holding over seven million in chips after sending John Horvatich to the rail in sixth place.

Anter:
Anter needed a miracle, and he got one after the appeared in the window, trailed by the and . The turn of the was of no help to Horvatich, nor was the repeat on the river to fill Anter up.
And just like that, we're down to five.

Earlier, Oulmekki open-shoved from the button and got no takers before he raised to 175,000 from the cutoff in the next hand, only to fold after Hasan Anter's three-bet to 725,000 from the big blind.
Anter then shipped his stack into the middle from the button two hands later and picked up the blinds and antes, but then Oulmekki came in with another raise of 220,000 from under the gun after that, but folded when John Horvatich shoved over the top.
Soon after, Andy Philachack raised to 220,000 from the UTG position before Oulmekki called from the button before both players checked down the flop of . Oulmekki then check-folded after Philachack bet 400,000 on the turn of the .

With all the players and spectators now having been cleared out of the Amazon Room after the conclusion of Day 1a of the Main Event, the only people watching this final table are all the members of media row. So far, there hasn't been much to see.
Earlier, Nemer Haddad raised to 180,000 from the cutoff to pick up the blinds and antes before John Borzio raised to 200,000 from under the gun in the next hand.
Selim Oulmekki then raised to 175,000 from under the gun, but folded after Borzio re-raised to 825,000 from the big blind. Hasan Anter then picked up the blinds and antes after that.
