Can't That Wait?

From under the gun, Rayan Nathan moved all-in before Gavin Smith shoved over the top from the UTG +1 position. James Boyle was next to act, but he hadn't looked at his cards yet - rather, he was focusing all his attention on the server who had just bought him back his change, which he claimed was incorrect.

"Come on man, can't that wait?" said Ryan Goindoo. "Have you even looked at your cards yet?"

"Not yet, but I'll take my time," Boyle shot back, before sorting through the mix of bills on the table.

"We're in a hand!" Smith moaned. "You've had time to look at your cards!"

"Then call the clock on me," Boyle retorted. "Do what you want." The others quickly called the clock and the tournament supervisor came over and placed the timer in front of Boyle.

"You have a minute and 10 seconds," the tournament supervisor said as Boyle peeked at his cards. "I fold," said Boyle.

The other players shot each other confused looks as they folded around, but with no other takers, Nathan and Smith went to showdown:

Smith: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}
Nathan: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Nathan almost jumped out of his skin when the {10-Diamonds} appeared in the window, followed by the {9-Spades} and {4-Diamonds}. The turn and river ran out {K-Hearts}, {7-Diamonds} and Smith was crippled down to 350,000.

"That was just disrespectful, man," Selim Oulmekki said to Boyle.

"Whatever, I'll do what I want," Boyle replied.
