Break

Level 21

It's been three hours since the last elimination and another 15-minute break is upon us. See you in a little bit. Don't fall asleep.

Lamb Finds a Fold from Ly on the River

Ben "Benba" Lamb
Ben "Benba" Lamb

No-Limit Hold'em

From the button, Minh Ly raised to 75,000. Ben Lamb called from the small blind and Scott Seiver also called from the big blind. With three players in action, the dealer slid the {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop across the middle of the felt with one swift motion. Lamb checked over to Seiver and he too checked to the preflop raiser. Ly also checked.

The turn was the {Q-Diamonds} and paired the board. With two ladies in the middle, Lamb fired 130,000 into the middle. Seiver mucked, but Ly made the call to see fifth street.

The river completed the board with the {2-Spades} and Lamb was first to act again. He fired out 277,000. Ly tanked for a little bit, but in the end he folded his hand and gave up the pot.

Lamb Fighting Back

Stud-8

Matt Glantz: (X)(X) / {2-Spades}{5-Diamonds} FOLDED
Brian Rast: (X)(X) / {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{8-Spades} / (X)
Ben "Benba" Lamb: (X)(X) / {4-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{k-Spades}{j-Clubs} / (X)

Glantz brought in, and Rast and Lamb called. Rast checked on fourth street, Lamb bet, Glantz folded, and Rast called.

Rast led on fifth and sixth, Lamb called both bets, and the two checked on seventh. Lamb opened up {k-Clubs}{6-Spades}{8-Hearts} for kings-up, Rast mucked, and Lamb won the pot.

Final Table or Sooner?

Level 21

The structure sheet says "... play down to the final table." before the day ends. There have been some mumblings going around that the television production crew would like tonight to end before that final table is reached seeing as this is taking quite some time. We're unsure how the players feel about that, but we'll soon find out if it comes to that point.

Right now, we haven't heard any changes to the schedule so it looks like we'll be here until just eight players are left. We'll let you know if we hear any changes. If we happen to stop early, tomorrow could be a very, very, very long day on the felt.

Three-Outer Saves Lind

Level 21
George Lind
George Lind

Limit Hold'em

George Lind raised from the cutoff, Vladimir Shchemelev reraised from the small blind, and Lind called. The flop came {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}. Shchemelev bet, Lind raised all in with his last chips, and Shchemelev quickly called.

Shchemelev: {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}
Lind: {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

Lind was in bad shape with his worse kicker, and the {5-Clubs} on the turn made his prospects even dimmer. Then the dealer burned a card and dealt the river -- the {8-Hearts}! The now-thinned rail responded audibly, Mike "the Mouth" Matusow among them, at the sight of the saving eight.

Lind survives with 520,000, while Shchemelev has 1.47 million.
