Hand #112

Phil Hellmuth had the button. He limped in, Owais Ahmed completed in the small blind, and Minh Ly raised an additional 250,000. Only Hellmuth called.

The flop was {5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, and both players checked. The turn was the {k-Diamonds}. Ly led for 500,000, and Hellmuth clapped his hands loudly before folding.

Minh Ly held the button at the beginning of this hand. Owais Ahmed raised to 250,000 from under the gun and action folded to Brian Rast in the small blind. He counted out some chips and then made a reraise to 610,000. Phil Hellmuth didn't fold right away in the big blind. He eventually folded and Ahmed followed him into the muck.

"I had a medium pair," said Hellmuth.

The turn was the {3-Diamonds}, and both players checked.

The {k-Hearts} fell on the river, and Rast led for 470,000.

"Are you f***ing kidding me?" Hellmuth sighed. "This guy wants to play every pot with me. So brutal."

While in the tank, Hellmuth cut out enough chips to call, but waited over five minutes to commit them. Rast opened up {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, and Hellmuth started steaming.

"I haven't re-raised you one f***ing time," he told Rast after the hand. "That's all going to change after the break."

We shall see if Hellmuth's warning comes true, after the 60-minute dinner break!
