Wolak Gets a Bunch of Chips
It's been fairly quiet in terms of action at the tables, but the crowd is already getting quite vocal for the ladies (not so for Jonathan Epstein). However, Marsha Wolak, who started this final table as the short stack, has just doubled up against Katherine Stahl.
The action folded around to Stahl who raised to 32,000 from middle position before Wolak shoved from the cutoff for 62,000. Stahl called, showing but needed a lot of help against the of Wolak.
The flop of gave both players the pair of aces, but Wolak now had a pair of queens to go along with it. The appeared on the turn, giving a slim chance to chop the pot with Broadway on the board, but the useless bricked out on the river to give Wolak the double-up.
Naturally, her rail are using a homage to The Brady Bunch - "Marsha! Marsha! Marsha!"
Wolak is now up to 156,000 while Stahl is down to 340,000.
