Chip Lead For Cheong

Joseph Cheong
Joseph Cheong

No Limit Hold'em

Joseph Cheong made it 2,700 from the cutoff and the player in the small blind three-bet to 7,300. Action came back around to Cheong who quickly announced that he was all in. His opponent tanked for a while, shuffling chips back and forth and glancing up at the tournament clock every so often. Eventually he made the call and tabled {A-Spades}{J-Spades} and was ahead of Cheong's {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

The flop came {7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs} and his opponent was still in the lead. Cheong was able to drill the {Q-Clubs} on the turn, pairing him up and giving him the commanding lead of the hand. The {2-Diamonds} fell on the river and Cheong was able to send a player home and skyrocket into the chip lead.
