Alexander Wice Eliminated in 11th Place ($15,836)

Alex Wice
Alex Wice

Alexander Wice raised to 30,000 in the cutoff and David Sands, his nemesis from a pot not long ago potted to 102,000 from the small blind. On the {9-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Spades} flop, Sands bet enough to put Wice all in who called.

Sands: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Wice: {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades}

The {K-Diamonds} on the turn locked up the high half of the pot for Sands while Wise was only drawing to a low for the chop. The {J-Spades} on the river produced no low for Wice however and he was eliminated. The pot took Sands over the one million chip mark and now has just under one third of the total chips in play with ten players left.
