Seidel SeiDOUBLES, Gomes Falls Even Lower

Alexandre Gomes, who started the day with around 80,000, has fallen even lower after just doubling up Erik Seidel.

Preflop, Seidel raised it up to 5,600 and Gomes put him all in. Seidel called and showed {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Gomes showed {a-Hearts}{5-Spades}{j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}.

The board ran out {8-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{6-Spades} and Seidel's {a-}{3-} low and pair of aces scooped him the pot. Both players are still very short stacked, but until he has been knocked out and actually confirmed to have left the Rio, we never count out Erik Seidel.
