Polychronopoulos Picks Up a Pot

Athanasios Polychronopoulos called on the button, Yevgeniy Timoshenko completed from the small blind and Simon Charette checked his option. The flop came {j-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}, both blinds checked, and Polychronopoulos bet 100,000. Timoshenko called while Charette folded. The turn brought the {7-Diamonds} and Timoshenko check-called a bet of 250,000 from Polychronopoulos.

When the {q-Hearts} hit on the river Timoshenko checked a third time and Polychronopoulos pushed out a full stack of green chips totaling 500,000. Timoshenko thought for a bit before deciding to call.

Polychronopoulos showed the {q-Spades}{8-Hearts} for a rivered pair of queens and with a frown on his face Timoshenko mucked his hand.
