Mizrachi Grinding the Competition to Dust

Level 20

Omaha 8

Riding a short stack, Hoyt Verner put it all on the line against both Michael Mizrachi and Owais Ahmed. After the Grinder raised to 16,000 before the flop, both Verner and Ahmed made the call. The flop fell {10-Hearts}{A-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and Verner bet, Ahmed called and Mizrachi raised it up.

Verner made the call and his last chips were in the middle. Ahmed decided to reraise and watched the Grinder do the same. Ahmed called and the two players saw the turn card come {A-Clubs} as they contested the side pot. Ahmed checked the turn and Mizrachi continued his aggressive line, firing another bet into the pot. Ahmed came along and the river fell {8-Clubs}. After another check-call, it was time for the hands to be revealed.

Mizrachi: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{5-Spades}
Ahmed: {2-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Verner: {3-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{6-Hearts}

Mizrachi claimed the high half of the pot with his trip aces, while Verner and Ahmed chopped the low half with identical A-2-3-4-8 lows. The win put the Grinder over 700,000 chips for a commanding lead, as no other player has more than 300,000.
