Scotty Nguyen Eliminated in 5th Place ($53,091)

Scotty Nguyen
Scotty Nguyen

Omaha 8

Scotty Nguyen raised preflop and Michael Mizrachi called in the big blind. Mizrachi led out on the {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}{7-Clubs} flop before setting Nguyen all in on the {A-Spades} turn, the former Main Event winner making the call.

Nguyen: {A-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{J-Spades} for aces with a gutshot and a low draw.
Mizrachi: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for aces and queens, no low draw.

Nguyen could scoop with a ten or get half with a low card but the river was the {K-Diamonds}, both made aces and kings but Mizrachi's queen kicker played and it's put the Grinder in pole position with almost 2 million chips and four players left.
