Deeb Doubles Koon and then Benefield Doubles Deeb

Freddy Deeb
Freddy Deeb

When we caught up to Freddy Deeb and his table, where he was mixing it up by moving all in on a {7-Spades}{6-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs} board. His opponent Jason Koon instantly called and flipped over {8-}{2-} for a straight. Deeb sheepishly showed {K-}{10-} for a pair of tens. Deeb would need an eight on the river in order to chop the pot. A {10-Clubs} river gave Deeb an irrelevent three of a kind.

After this hand Deeb was cut down to 27,000 while Koon was hovering around 315,000 in chips.

The very next hand Deeb moved all in and received a caller in one of our chip leaders David Benefield.

Deeb: {7-}{7-}
Benefield: {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

It was off to the races as the dealer spread out {Q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{8-Clubs} giving Deeb a set of sevens. If he could avoid a few run run draws Deeb could double up. The {k-Diamonds} turn sealed the deal as no card could possible come to take the pot away from Deeb. A harmless {3-Diamonds} was spiked on the river and Deeb doubled up to around 54,000.

Shortly there after though Deeb was eliminated.
