William Thorson and Elliot Smith were heads up with the board reading 
. We're not sure who initiated the action, but each player put in 19,000 on the flop, then both players checked when the turn brought the 
. Thorson checked again after the 
fell on the river, and Smith tossed out 28,000.
Thorson went deep into the tank, removing 28,000 from his stack and counting how much would be left if he called and was wrong. Eventually he made the call, and Smith opened up 
for ten-high. Thorson showed 
for ace-high, it was good, and he won the pot.
