No More Hall Pass

A player in the hijack raised to 700 only to have Galen Hall three-bet to 2,000 from the cutoff. Matt Affleck came along for the ride on the button, and the original raiser made the call as well. Three players saw a flop of {Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}, and the cutoff checked to Hall, who fired out 2,700. Affleck quickly raised to 6,000, the hijack folded, and Hall three-bet all in for 16,500. Affleck made the call.

Hall: {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Affleck: {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}

Affleck had flopped top pair with top kicked, but Hall was drawing to a diamond flush. The {6-Clubs} turn was a safe card for Affleck, so Hall needed a diamond on the river to stay alive. The dealer burned and slowly put out the {8-Spades}. Just like that, Hall's tournament came to an end.
