Paul Nash Eliminated in 5th Place ($123,028)

Paul Nash - Eliminated in 5th Place ($123,028)

We missed the preflop betting but there were 250,000 chips in the pot and a flop of {7-Spades}{3-Spades}{8-Hearts} spread across the felt. Paul Nash bet 160,000 from under-the-gun and Arkadiy Tsinis reraised to 365,000 from the big blind.

The Englishman thought it over for a minute before pushing his remaining 970,000 forward for an all-in move. Tsinis was being laid great pot odds and shrugged before making the call.

Showdown:

Nash: {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}
Tsinis: {A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

Nash had made a power play with pure air, hoping to force Tsinis off of his hand, but he held top pair, top kicker and looked Nash up. He would need to spike a jack or go runner-runner for a straight or flush to take the lead.

Turn: {Q-Spades}

Nash picked up additional outs with his flush draw, and the Brits on the rail instantly began screaming for spades to fall. Tsinis simply paced around the table while he waited for the dealer to decide his fate.

River: {A-Hearts}

While he paired his ace, Nash could not overcome the aces up held by Tsinis and he was eliminated in 5th place. He will take $123,028 back to England, and with the current exchange rate, he will arrive on English soil just a bit richer than that.
