Duhamel Dropped Early On Day 2

Jonathan Duhamel Downed Early In Day 2 Action
Jonathan Duhamel Downed Early In Day 2 Action

We passed by defending Main Event champion Jonathan Duhamel's table just in time to catch him all-in against Francisco Torres. Duhamel held {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs} but found himself dominated by the {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} held by Torres.

The flop fell {Q-Spades}{5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and Duhamel stood to shake Torres' hand, as if he knew a victory today just wasn't in the cards. The turn came {4-Clubs} and the river fell {9-Diamonds} to confirm Duhamel's premonition and he exited the Amazon Room in defeat.

Torres climbed to just over 40,000 with the knockout and Duhamel will have to wait for another day to follow up last year's main Event victory.
