Cartwright Climbing

An extremely short-stacked player moved all in from the small blind for under 2,000 without looking at his cards. Kyle Cartwright made the call and turned over {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}. The small blind just smiled as he flipped his cards one by one to reveal {6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}.

The {2-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop gave Cartwright a set, but the {4-Spades} turn provided his opponent with a straight draw to any five. The dealer burned and revealed the {8-Diamonds}. Cartwright collected the small pot and increased his stack to just over 70,000.
