Big Slick Works for Chan

Adam Geyer raised to 2,300 from early position only to face an all-in raise for about 10,000 total from Benjamin Chan. John Thompson then pushed all in himself from the small blind for about 20,000. Geyer got out of the way and the cards were turned up.

Chan: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}
Thompson: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}

It was a classic race for Chan's tournament life. His big slick needed to improve, which is exactly what happened when the flop fell {2-Spades}{K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}. Chan vaulted to the lead and stayed there as the {6-Clubs} turn and {J-Diamonds} river changed nothing.
