Josh Weiland Eliminated in 10th Place ($17,237)

Josh Weiland - 10th Place
Josh Weiland - 10th Place

Josh Weiland's demise was stretched over the course of three hands of No Limit Hold'emand he's just been busted in tenth place. Here's how it went down:

Chapter I

David Whitis raised to 23,000 from late position and the action folded to Travis Pearson who re-raised to 60,000 from the small blind before Weiland pushed all-in over the top. Whitis folded and Pearson snap-called with his {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}, which were miles ahead of Weiland's {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}.

The board ran out {2-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}, leaving Weiland with less than 50,000 in chips.

Chapter II

Two hands later, Weiland pushed all-in for 39,000 from the cutoff with {A-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and Shaun Deeb iso-raised from the small blind, forcing Whitis out of the way from the big blind. Deeb tabled {K-Hearts}{9-Clubs}, but Weiland ended up with two pair after the dealer spread the board of {Q-Spades}{6-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}.

Chapter III

In the very next hand, Weiland open-shoved with {A-Spades}{9-Clubs}, but he ran straight into the {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} of Chris Lee. Neither hand improved on the board of {2-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}, and Weiland was no more.

Epilogue

As a result of Weiland's elimination, both Pearson and Lee have now broken the 600K-chip mark.
